Jonathan Robert

Jonathan loves comic books and he loves coffee. Jonathan’s mother gave him his first taste of coffee at the tender age of 3 and it was love at first sip. He now needs to wheel around an IV drip of caffeine at all times or else he turns into a dark, monstrous creature that feeds on despair and makes babies cry. The local village-folk have kept him locked away ever since the “decaf catastrophe of ‘06.” When allowed out of his dungeon, he writes various articles for Geekade, including the monthly column, “Welcome to the D-List,” and records the "Mutant Musings" podcast with his geek-tastic girlfriend, Patti.

i didnt think it was kt-tape i thought it was vibranium cause it looked like gentle’s vibranium tattoos (remember that new x-men character?) so i was with patti “who/what are you” the whole issue. as for what kt-tape is, as a kinda athlete (dancer) and from physical therapy i can tell you what its for: its use to support areas of the body that are injured so you can still do the sport you do. think of it as like a kind of splint. it helps to stabilize (for example) the shoulder so you can do what you do and not make your injury worse. and it works! kinda expensive (like 15 bucks for like 5-6 uses which can be like 2-3 depending on the area of effect) thats why i always tell my pt guy/gal “tape me up!” let me save as many pennies as i can lol

xavier dying really hit me hard and has me scared. xavier is the main one who brings people back. and as far as everyone who is not moira or magneto there isnt a backup, they only know about THAT cerebro unit which is broken. maybe he taught jean how to do this BUT it hasnt been hinted at and as secretive as they are and from what we have been told (xavier being the only one to perform the resurrections) the death has a major effect on me cause im going with the “if the man who brings life is dead, who brings life to the life bringer” thought. so im terrified! is this a way to force moira x to come out of hiding???? we will see

But why wouldn’t anyone think to keep a backup of Xavier?! XD It’s surely possible but that does seem like something weird they just would not do. Your thought about Moira is super interesting but I doubt she’ll come out of hiding and it’ll be by someone who finds her. Like Mystique and/or Destiny.

its not that they dont have a backup for xavier. based on the info graphs from HOX they definitely do. its just that as far as we have been told/shown only xavier can give the “soul” aka backup to the new body. so with him dead for me there is this unease of who will bring him back.yeah it can be jean BUT based on their reaction to his death and this being a storyarc its not going to be any time soon. i think there is going to be the same confusion on krakoa “we lost xavier, the only one who can bring us back. what do we do”. and maybe jean will try or maybe the inner council (moira and magneto) have a fully backed up xavier on ice they just need to wake him up. i just dont see it being a one issue and done thing, his death has to have weight and jean or any other psi being able to just bring him back in issue 2takes all of that depth away
