Geekade Summer Tour 2016!

Geekade is going places! Well, the website is staying right where it is, but the people wo create content for said website are going to be gallivanting about at different conventions all over the place. Here’s where we’ll be, and who’s going to be there.

Hawaii Convention Center, Honolulu HI, May 20-22

Brandon and Travis of Apathetic Enthusiasm are returning to the Amazing Hawaii Comic Con for more interviews, cosplay, and comic book talk! But more importantly, they’re going to be on a panel called “Comic Cinematic Revolution” with Scott Lobdell (Uncanny X-Men, Daredevil) and Meredith Placko (geek.com, TYT Network)! You certainly won’t want to miss this.

Comic Cinematic Revolution
Movies, TV shows and now digital networks are opening up new doors to tell some of our favorite comic book stories on the big and small screen. Join host Meredith Placko (Geek.com, TYT Network), writer Scott Lobdell (Uncanny X-Men, Daredevil), along with Brandon and Travis of Apathetic Enthusiasm as we take a look at the big wins and epic fails to come from the new generation of cinematic storytelling.

Atlantic City Convention Center, Atlantic City NJ, June 10-12

Then in June, we’ll be hitting AnimeNext. Jonathan, writer of Welcome to the D-List, will be attending the show and talking to folks. The thing is, he’s a mysterious guy. If you find him, consider yourself an accomplished manhunter. Either way, good times will be had by all.

Greater Philadelphia Expo Center, Oaks PA, June 24-26

Our next June date brings us to PA for TooManyGames! The crew from the Stone Age Gamer Podcast will be on hand at the Stone Age Gamer booth! They’ll be doing interviews, buying games, and getting up to all sorts of other mischief. Details are still coming on this one. Stay tuned.

Mennen Arena, Morristown NJ, July 9-10

This one’s our biggest show, with an impressive assortment of Geekade podcasters, writers, and video personalities on hand. Garden State Comic Fest is still a ways off, so details are incoming, but the Paper Cuts Comic Podcast will be having their annual Paper Cuts Paper Hunt, among other crazy fun stuff. Again, stay tuned.

Hawaii Convention Center, Honolulu HI, July 29-31

Not going to be around the Hawaii area in May? July is your second chance to meet up with the hosts of Apathetic Enthusiasm! Brandon and Travis will again be on hand at Comic Con Honolulu performing interviews, and being generally good-looking.

The UpSky Long Island Hotel, Hauppauge NY, August 13

Geekade will be attending the LI Retro Gaming Expo for the very first time this year, and they’re doing a panel while they’re in town! Called “Buy Somethin’ Will Ya!” The SAG crew will be walking the show floor trying to find the strangest things they can, and then talking about them in front of anyone who will listen.

Parsippany PAL Center, Parsippany NJ, September 10-11

Okay, so our final stop isn’t technically in the summer, but we’re including it here anyway because it’s a good time. Several Geekaders from Stone Age Gamer, Paper Cuts, This Week’s Episode and more will be on hand to do some fun stuff. This is another one we’ll update you on when we have more details, but AVGC is a good time.

And that’s it (for now). Keep your eyes right here for more information on all these events as they get closer. We’ll see you there!

Dean DeFalco

Creator of Websites, editor of content, wearer of vests. This man is said to be "The Jack of All Trades".  Dean has his hands in most parts of the website one way or another. The original incarnation of Geekade, "G33k Life", was Dean's brainchild. While Dean can be found on a number of shows like when he was the former co-host of the Stone Age Gamer Podcast or the current host Vest and Friends or talking about video games on YouTube and Twitch, he is the guy behind the scenes making sure that the site does everything it's supposed to every one else can do their job. There's not a problem he can't solve.....or at least punch and scream at until it doesn't exist anymore.
