Social Stuff

Jonathan Robert

Jonathan loves comic books and he loves coffee. Jonathan’s mother gave him his first taste of coffee at the tender age of 3 and it was love at first sip. He now needs to wheel around an IV drip of caffeine at all times or else he turns into a dark, monstrous creature that feeds on despair and makes babies cry. The local village-folk have kept him locked away ever since the “decaf catastrophe of ‘06.” When allowed out of his dungeon, he writes various articles for Geekade, including the monthly column, “Welcome to the D-List,” and records the "Mutant Musings" podcast with his geek-tastic girlfriend, Patti.

i know its not the thousands of issues that others have been in but 200 isnt a little to me. yeah she’s mostly a spider-woman/avengers villain so unless you read those books you would have to catch her in animation like in avengers assemble and a-force rising thingy or whatever its called with squirrel girl, america, ms. marvel and other teen girl heroes. excalibur is my favorite of all the x-titles so far but so many questions. last time i saw morgan le fey she was on earth (a few months ago) and last time i read a story about otherworld she wasnt in it. roma and merlin always ruled and then for a time brian braddock. WHAT IS GOING ON!?

yeah just cant get into either x-men or marauders but will be reading cause its x-men. X-cept for wolverine (both male and female versions) i dont drop/ignore x-titles so at worst if they dont get better for me i’ll just look at the pictures……….and dont like the art in either book. the one good thing i can take from x-men is the setup with the villains, that was interesting. and some of the stuff at the summer house (scott’s heart to heart with his dad) was good but thats about it. and i agree, emma can be behind kitty not being able to get through the gates but my theory is its moira x….and you just mentioned it lol DAMN IT! i thought i was the first to come up with it lol everyone is like “its emma duh” lol oh well sigh. i know its not the same pyro but i wouldnt mind if this pyro got with bobby cause i was shipping that ship when new age gay pyro was with the x-men

Noooo that was the original Pyro who Cyclops punched in the face 😛 he was hanging out with Joseph, Juggernaut, Random and Toad. Villainous Pyro. Simon Pyro hasn’t appeared since X-Men: Winter’s End in February.

I am on expert on few things in life but I assure you it’s OG Pyro XD It wasn’t Hickman that explained it! Pyro’s resurrection came from Necrosha. Rosenberg explained it – not in a comic mind you – so when we saw Pyro in an issue of Iceman and then two issues of Weapon X, no writer had addressed it yet. So Rosenberg did. And we assume Pyro also died in Rosenberg’s Uncanny, probably off panel, and that’s how he got resurrected for Marauders. In a free HoXPoX preview from July, there were a few dozen characters featured in the back of the issue that we’d see going forward. A panel of Pyro’s face from Necrosha was there with “Uncanny X-Men #141” under it – his first appearance 🙂

oh i know about him coming back in necrosha (mostly from you talking about it on the podcast. i only really remember selene and blink from that arc). my confusion was with him being ressurrected again for hoxpox since he was alive and well in uncanny. but with so many people dying in that run ill go with your theory of him dying off panel

witchbreed is what they called mutants in ancient camelot times. there is a comic called 1602 where this term is used. dont know if it started there or not but yeah its a thing thats been around for awhile. you have to keep in mind mutants wasnt a thing back then put yourself in the mindset of someone in the 1400-1600s: if you see a being with powers what would you call them? WITCH!
