knowing rogue as well as i do, that was out of character. she has always wanted a kid. its one of the main reasons she wanted to get rid of powers so that she can have a kid of her own and touch them. they touched upon this A LOT in the 90s and early 2000s. i would need to see something tragic happen like her losing a pet or having a semi adopted kid ala the new mutants, hellions or gen x dying THEN i would understand her changing her mind “i dont want to go through that pain ever again” kind of thing. rick and morty is like ren and stimpy and beavis and butthead for this generation. i didnt get those shows and i dont get this one. that stuff is too gross for me. i like clean and pretty and rainbows. oh and demon witches like chilling advetures of sabrina and legacies but hey they still cute! and american dad (when they dont have their saga long hiatuses (hiatuscies?) is so good! sassy roger, singing steve, ignore the rest sigh so good!
Lots of people have been saying it was out of character for Rogue. I don’t disagree that it was written out of seemingly nowhere, but again, I’m fascinated that it was explicitly brought up. Think about how humans are constantly procreating compared to how many X-Men characters have over nearly 60 years. And how many X-Men have explicitly stated “I dont want kids, maybe ever.” I thought it was super interesting. Also, you can stick with American Dad and I’ll stick with Rick and Morty so we can both be happy lol but I think American Dad has plenty of gross moment ?
yeah it does, hence why i only mentioned steve and roger lol. they have toned down over the seasons. seasons 1 and 2 was all vomiting stuff all the time. now its just fun sexy times and i love it lol. its like i told that kid who was hating on netflix’s new reality dating show “its a business and has to compete with ALL channels, it wants to be a one stop place for everyone and just cause it has every kind of show doesnt mean you have to quite the service, just dont watch THAT show. i dont eat EVERYTHING at mcdonalds, same thing”. i say to hollywood “greenlight everything” and everyone will be happy even if the show is bad like rick and morty. jk jk friendly shade 😉
