Mutant Musings Summer Series is Coming!

We’re getting ready for the Mutant Musings podcast summer series! Last year, we did three special episodes—one each in July, August, and September, and we’ll be doing that again this year.

We rarely ever discussed the X-Men cartoons on the podcast, so the summer series provided the perfect outlet to do just that. There are three official X-Men animated series and we can discuss a few episodes from each one of those shows over three podcast episodes. But how the heck are we supposed to pick which X-Men episodes to discuss? Well, the most fun part about this is where you help!

Certainly, there are plenty of fans of X-Men: The Animated Series, X-Men: Evolution, and Wolverine and the X-Men, so we ask our listeners and followers on social media to help pick the episodes. This was a blast last year and we’re going to do it again!

Throughout June, we’ll have posts on Instagram and Twitter asking for you to comment three episodes from each X-Men cartoon that you want us to discuss! Pick your three favorites, your three least favorites, or just any three you’d like us to discuss. After the voting is closed, we pick the three episodes with the most votes.

Follow us on Instagram at Mutant_Musings_Podcast and on Twitter @mutantmusings so you can see the announcements and leave your choices!

One last thing—don’t vote for an episode we’ve already discussed! Here’s the list of episodes we discussed last year:

X-Men: The Animated Series:

    • Night of the Sentinels parts 1 and 2
    • A Rogue’s Tale
    • Cold Comfort

X-Men: Evolution:

    • Retreat
    • Walking on the Wild Side
    • Under Lock and Key
    • X-23

Wolverine and the X-Men:

    • X-Calibre
    • Timebomb
    • Excessive Force
    • Shades of Grey

Jonathan loves comic books and he loves coffee. Jonathan’s mother gave him his first taste of coffee at the tender age of 3 and it was love at first sip. He now needs to wheel around an IV drip of caffeine at all times or else he turns into a dark, monstrous creature that feeds on despair and makes babies cry. The local village-folk have kept him locked away ever since the “decaf catastrophe of ‘06.” When allowed out of his dungeon, he writes various articles for Geekade, including the monthly column, “Welcome to the D-List,” and records the "Mutant Musings" podcast with his geek-tastic girlfriend, Patti.
