Nothing says pain in the ass like good old fashioned quarter-munchers. Yes, Geekade is taking on the Master of Magnet in X-Men: The Arcade Game. Let’s break down the details
WHEN:
Saturday, August 10th from 9pm-10pm
Who will be playing:
EVERYONE! Well, not really. This particular game will be headed up by our resident mutant masters Jonathan and Patti from the Mutant Musings Podcast. But since this game is all about the co-op, the invitation is open to everyone else who happens to be awake when they start to play. Chaos will probably ensue, but in a fun way.
Why it’s a pain in the ass:
This game wasn’t designed to be fair. X-Men, like other arcade beat-em-ups before it, was designed to eat as many quarters as it can. So the game is just plain unfair. But since we’ll be playing this on an Xbox 360 instead of a stand up arcade machine, we’ll be implementing some Game Over rules of our own. Limited lives and continues, baby! Who will have the honor of playing as Dazzler? Why does Wolverine shoot lasers out of his claws? What does Colossus have against this robot’s crotch? We’ll all find out soon!
