Staff Picks: Comeback of the Year
As the year draws to a close, we turn to our faithful Geekade staff to tell us what they consider to be the ultimate winners (and losers) of the past 12 months. Join us as we look at 2019 with a critical eye, and please chime in with your own thoughts on a variety of categories.
Today, we ask the Geekade team…
Dave Marconi (You Shall Not Pass Go): All of the snapped heroes who assemble at the end of Avengers: Endgame.
Karen Randazzo (This Week’s Episode, The Think Tank): I’ve got nothing. I read men’s cardigans are making a comeback in fashion and I’m a big fan of sweaters, so I guess I’d go with that.
Matt Raimo (Waveback): Professional wrestling, with All Elite Wrestling getting a TV deal and basically forcing WWE to step up their game the wrestling fan has got their pick of the litter. And I didn’t even mention the return of National Alliance Wrestling, either.
Brenda Cierech (Tardy to the Party, 31 Days of Horror): My 2005 Honda Civic. Now with an expensive new (actually used, but new to my car) engine.
Kris Randazzo (Stone Age Gamer, This Week’s Episode, Waveback): My bank account.
Dean DeFalco (Vest Lord, General Administrator): Chris Jericho reinventing himself again at almost 50 to become the star of WWE’s rival promotion. The man is this generation’s Ric Flair. You can’t find one dude that has hustled like him. No one from his era has had the longevity he has. Cheers to you, Lion Heart. *Sips a little bit of the bubbly*
Amy Ebeling (Editor-in-Chief): My body, after completely recovering from a major surgery. Oh, and of course, My Chemical Romance.
